We are a year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to the advanced competitor. Manchester Makos Swim Team

2020 Long Course Schedule is posted.

  • 02/24/20:   The Makos took 10 qualifiers to the 2020 Southeastern Championship, in Huntsville, AL 21-23 Feb.  Those who competed included:  Paizley Hodges (39.5) points, Maddie DeWolfe, Lauren Lee, Caitlyn Slayton,  Emily Williams, Kaylee Williams (3 pts), Logan Holt, Isaac Lee (120 pts), Nick Bogle, and Josh Rutledge. Congratulations to Isaac Lee for receiving the 13-14 boy high point award. Additionally, a few Makos set new team records.  Those include Paizely Hodges for the 50 & 100 yard Free, and 50 Fly; Isaac Lee for the 200 Fly, 400 IM, and the 1650 Free; Kaylee Williams in the 200 Breast; and Nick Bogle in the 100 & 200 Back, and 100 Fly.

  • 02/11/20:  Congratulations to the following swimmers for setting new team records:  Isaac Lee, for the 200 and 500 free at Middle School champs (Also set meet records in both) on 01/25/20; Paizley Hodges, 50 free at the Foggy Mountain Invite on 2/1/20; and Kaylee Williams, 100 Breast at High School States on 2/08/20.

  • 10/12/19:  Congratulations to Kendall Kesling. She has a new team record in the girls, 8 and under, 25 yard breast stroke. She took this record while competing at the Scottsboro 2nd Annual Tyson Green Memorial Meet on 12 Oct 2019.

  • 08/7/19: Isaac Lee was selected to compete in the 2019 Southern Zone Age Group Championship held in Cary, NC on 30 June-3 Aug.  Isaac took home two 2nd places in the 1500 Free and the 200 Fly.  Additionally, he placed 6th in the 400 IM. 

  • 07/21/2019:  Makos took 10 swimmers to compete in the 2019 Southeastern Long Course Championship, 18-21 July 2019, in Huntsville, AL.  Those competing included: Paizley Hodges, Ryan Brown, Nick Bogle, Logan Holt, Isaac Lee, Maddie DeWolfe, Lauren Lee, Caitlyn Slayton, Kaylee Williams, and Josh Rutledge.  Several great swims this weekend landed several into the Finals: Nick Bogle for the 400 IM, 200 Back, and the 100 Fly; Isaac Lee in the 200, 400, 800, 100 Free, 400 IM, and 200 Fly; and Kaylee Williams in the 50, 100 and 200 Breast.  Several new team records were set to include: Paizely Hodges, 10 & under girls 100 Fly; Nick Bogle, 13-14 boys 100 Back, 200 Back, and 100 Fly; Isaac Lee, 13-14 boys 200 Free, 400 Free, 800 Free, 1500 Free, 200 Fly, and 400 IM; and Kaylee Williams, 15 and up girls 50 Breast, 100 Breast, and 200 Breast.  

  • 07/13/19:Makos crowned 2019 Summer League Champions with 2515.5 points, a commanding 690 points over second place, Sewanee Tigers at 1828.5.  Three Makos took home high point awards for their age division: Isaac Lee for 13-14 Boys, Caitlyn Slayton for 15-16 Girls, and Ashley Slayton for 17-19 Girls. Several Makos set new Championship Meet Records:  Nick Bogle (boys 13-14)-50 Back and 50 Fly; Isaac Lee (boys 13-14)-50 Free, 50 Breast, and 100 IM; Ashley Slayton (girls 15-19)- 50 Free. In addition to meet records, several new Team Records were also set: Girls 8 & Under 100 Free Relay Team of Kendall Kesling, Avory Gilday, Cora Rice, and Harper Crosslin; Boys 13-14 100 Free Relay Team of Nick Bogle, Logan Holt, David Everett, and Isaac Lee; 100 Mixed Medley Relay Team of Nick Bogle, Emily Williams, Isaac Lee, and Clancy Sands; Jack Beachboard (Boys 15-18) 50 Back and 50 Breast; and Nick and Isaac's Champ Meet Records mentioned previously are also new Team Records.
